Multiplicom is pleased to announce the release of the new updated HNPCC MASTR™ Plus molecular assay, research use only, for identification of all mutations in the coding region of MLH1, MSH2, MSH6, PMS2 and 3’ UTR of EPCAM genes.

Below is a recapture of the improvements made within this new version:

-          Coverage of MSH6 exon 1

-          100% specificity of PMS2 exon 5

-          Greater MSH2 coverage:

                    o   Detection of splice mutation Exon 5: c.932+3A>T

                    o   Normalize variant allele frequency of Exon 1: rs2303426

-          Addition of CNV mutation analysis

-          Two additional amplicons in the EPCAM region for greater detection of any deletions in the area

Although important for understanding the general biology of a system, bulk analysis doesn’t provide information on the individual influence of cell subtypes.
